It'southward Fun to Fish programme designed for school students from Phase two in NSW, including Loftier Schoolhouse students.
The programme:
- teaches students the bones skills necessary for recreational line-fishing with the view that it will become a lifelong interest
- introduces students to the concept of sustaining quality aquatic habitats by practicing safe and responsible fishing
- allows all NSW schools equitable access to the program
- is delivered with all COVID prophylactic precautions
Get Hooked… information technology'southward Fun to Fish is made upward of 6 teaching modules which class a Inferior Fishing Code and are derived from the National Code principles. The Junior Fishing Codes accept been aligned to the Australian Curriculum and meet syllabus outcomes beyond all Key Learning Areas in both Junior and Senior outcomes.
The 6 Codes
Code 1: 'Take just what you demand' - The importance of the food chain and how taking too many of one species of fish may affect the entire chain, so only take enough for your own needs. 
Code ii: 'Fish with friends' - Larn all about safety near waterways, prophylactic line-fishing conditions and why having a responsible fishing friend to go fishing with yous is of import.
Code 3: 'You're the solution to water pollution' - Learn how to identify and reduce the bear on of your actions on our waterways and the bear upon litter can have on aquatic species.
Code 4: 'Put the little ones dorsum' - Larn the rules and regulations that relate to the size of fish you can take hold of and why we need to proceed certain species and sizes of fish for the hereafter.
